Please know this: I’m the last person to ever be
critical of others when it comes to weight issues. Quite honestly, I’m so non-observant
that I rarely notice when people lose or gain weight. I see your sweet soul and
love you because of who you are, just like God does. The reason I’m even
writing all this is because I’ve been approached by a significant number of
people who really want to make a change and don’t know where to begin. I have visited with quite a few friends who
have had similar struggles about what it is I’ve done. It has inspired me to
share my findings here for those of you who maybe saw the changes in me but
were not comfortable enough to ask what my “secret” was. My only desire is help
you love yourself like God does.
We are commanded to love thy neighbor as
thyself and most of us focus on the “Love thy neighbor” part and skip the fact
that we are supposed to love ourselves too…not in a superficial way, but in the
way that God has created each and every one of us perfectly and with a purpose. Features we might
see as flawed need to be seen as God’s perfect design for us and we need to love
and embrace how He made us each so unique. Love yourself. Even if you have
weight issues…ESPECIALLY if you have weight issues, you need to focus on loving
yourself. You are SO worth it. You are SO special, just like He made you. To
me, fine-tuning our eating and body composition is all about loving ourselves
enough to give our bodies the best possible chance at health and
longevity. It’s not just about how we
look, but the fact that obesity is one of the leading preventable causes of
death worldwide. And my goodness! The list of various diseases associated with
obesity is staggering: Cardiovascular issues, Type 2 Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, infertility, certain
types of cancer, osteoarthritis and asthma. The list goes on, and SO MANY of
the diseases are reversible simply by having a healthier body composition. If you are reading this and have the need and desire to make a change, I'd love to help you. I want nothing more than to share this contagious feeling of excellent health with you and for you to have a long healthy life for your kids, grand-kids and everyone else who loves you. God loaned us these bodies to use to do His work during the short time we're here on Earth. Let's honor Him by truly loving ourselves and taking the best care of our bodies that we can. Together we can let our lights shine brighter and longer. :)

Beautiful!!! These are things I know, but I forget. Well, maybe not forget. I think it is more that I see myself with MY eyes. I allow the "Natural Man/Woman" in me to see myself and judge myself. And usually it is a pretty harsh judgment. Thank you for the reminder!!
